“2019 Strategy”

In short this is the social media strategy for 2019 of the Office of Summer and Winter Sessions. The goal was to create interesting and beautiful social media designs and Illustrations. These designs would be colorful and entertaining spanning a wide range of color palettes, content and ideas. I had chose to create custom illustrations for the primary medium because it was much easier for me to control the overall look of each image and relate a wide range of images to each-other, this was a tough job to continually make social media content and I did not want to limit myself or box myself in too much.

2020 Plan

2020 was a very pivotal year for me at the Office of Summer and Winter Sessions. I began 2020 with more refined Illustration skills and a better grasp of what the issues and limitations of the role were. After a few initial illustration posts I had grabbed the attention of the Universities’ external communications director. Because the content I was creating had begun to reach an external audience I had to now make sure that every post had to have the University’s branding on it because I was not only posting about summer and winter sessions, I was also promoting the school.

2021 Strategy

2021 was a really exciting year. I had a lot of experience to go off of and I even had set a goal of gaining 600 followers, which we over shot. 2021 followed the same form as years past: using illustrative design to create content. In this year I also used patterns as a way to make more interesting content. 2021 was a really great year at Summer and Winter Sessions we grew a lot!
